As a
member, you'll be permitted to wear the TMU uniform (patches and name
tags provided by the park system) and you'll be covered under the
state's worker's compensation plan. You'll also be given free access to
a campground set aside for members in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, as
well as certain other privileges.
There are no dues for
membership, but there are requirements for attaining and maintaining
your membership:
 |
You must be 18 years old
or older.
|
 |
You must first complete 24
hours of service. At that point you may submit an application, but you're not a member until you have donated 40 hours (including the first
24).
|
 |
To maintain your
membership, you must donate 40 hours of service per calendar year
to maintain your membership.
|
Example: You start
participating in November 2010 and achieve your 24th hour in February
2011. At that point you may apply for membership. In June 2011, you
achieve your 40th hour. At that point you become a member, and you
may wear the member uniform and avail yourself of full membership
privileges. However, to maintain your membership in 2012, you must have
completed 40 hours of service during calendar year 2011.
