Initially,
you'll start out as a non-member volunteer. Here's how:
 |
Simply
contact Jim Zevely, Unit
Coordinator, and let him know you're interested.
|
 |
He'll put you on our
e-mailing list and let you know the next time we're having a work party.
If you can make it, great! If not, that's OK --- we'll just keep you on
our mailing list.
|
 |
Show up with
gloves, food/snack, plenty of water (at least a liter in the summer),
and closed end shoes or boots. We STRONGLY recommend you wear a long
sleeved shirt, even in the summer, since you may get up close and
personal with foliage, sharp branches and bark, an accidental brush with poison oak,
etc.
|
 |
We'll have
you sign a waiver at
the beginning of each work session.
|
If you like being a
trail hand, just keep coming to the work sessions!
You're not required to "progress" to member status. You may remain a
non-member volunteer for as long as you want; you will always be welcome
to participate in our work parties as a non-member volunteer if that's
what you wish.
However, at some point,
you may want to consider becoming a full-fledged member of our TMU.
